there are lots of ways to get to Skye. here are a couple of the most sensible ones!!!

option 1
take the M90 out of Edinburgh crossing the Forth Road Bridge and follow directions for Perth. from Perth, take the A9 north to Dalwhinnie. then follow the A86 to Spean Bridge. from here, you have 2 choices for reaching Skye. they are:

turn left at Spean Bridge and take the A82 to Fort William. then follow the A830 from Fort William to Mallaig. Here, you will get a ferry that takes you to Armadale Pier.

The instant you hit land don't follow the traffic... turn left... look up... you've found us!!!
(The Ferry operates all year round, but has reduced sailings in Winter, and only sails on a Sunday in high Summer. Please contact Caledonian MacBraynes to check sailings before you travel)

alternatively, turn right at Spean Bridge and take the A82 towards Invergarry. Turn left at Invergarry onto the A87 until you reach Kyle of Lochalsh. From Kyle, cross the Skye Bridge continuing on the A87 for 8 miles until you reach the left turning for Armadale. From here, you are 15 miles from Armadale. To find us, follow the signs for Armadale Pier. When you see the ferry ticket office, look up to your right...ragamuffin!!!

option 2
take the M9 to Stirling. From here, take the A84, then the A85 to Crianlarich. At Crianlarich, take the A82 to Fort William where you again have 2 choices. They are:

follow the A830 from Fort William to Mallaig. Here, you will get a Ferry that takes you to Armadale Pier. the instant you hit land don't follow the traffic... turn left... look up...
